      Like any other part of the body, the brain can become ‘sick’. This can be due to infections e.g meningitis, disruptions in blood supply as in the case of strokes, primary brain disorders such as brain tumours, and in some cases, traumatic injury e.g in an accident.

      These injuries may cause disruption in the core functions such as memory, intelligence, language, speech or even motor functions.
