A synapse is the gap between two neuron cell involved in transmission of information from the body to the brain or vice versa inform of an electric current. Since an information being transmitted by a neuron cell either from the body to the brain or vice versa must be continuous even in presence of these gaps for response to occur, a chemical called acetylcholine act as a bridge.
