      The genetics of HIV and AIDS are still being researched. What is known so far about AIDS is that it is transmitted through transfer of body fluids especially during sex. It is not a genetically inherited disorder. However , certain people with certain genes may be particularly at risk of acquiring HIV infection or may have some genetic patterns that make them resistant to some of the drugs given for HIV infection
