      Hi there,
Not sure if you meant body temperature or climatic temperature?
      For body temperature:
Fever occurs when an area in the brain called the hypothalamus — also known as the body’s “thermostat” — shifts the set point of normal body temperature upward. When this happens, one may feel chilled, or may shiver to generate more body heat, eventually resulting in an elevated body temperature.

Normal body temperature varies throughout the day — it’s lower in the morning and higher in the late afternoon and evening. Although most people consider 37 C normal, body temperature can vary by a degree or more — from about 36.1 C to 37.2 C — and still be considered normal. Factors such as menstrual cycle or heavy exercise can affect temperature.
Fever or elevated body temperature might be caused by:
      -An infection
      -Heat exhaustion
      -Extreme sunburn
-Certain inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis
      – inflammation of the lining of your joints (synovium)
      -A malignant tumor
-Some medications, such as antibiotics and drugs used to treat high blood pressure or seizures
      -Some immunizations
Sometimes the cause of a fever can’t be identified.

      For climate temperature:
It is rising due to global warming or climate change.
Carbon dioxide is what is called a greenhouse gas-it behaves like the glass of a greenhouse and lifts the temperature of the ground underneath it causing a general global rise in temperature. Green house gases allow low wavelength radiations from the sun to enter the atmosphere but while being reflected these become long wavelength rays which are trapped by these gases maintaining the necessary temperature on earth to sustain life.

Increasing concentration of these green house gases can result in substantial increase in the temperature of earth. These gases are emitted in the atmosphere by the burning of hydrocarbons which is the main reason for global warming. The burning of fossil fuels and clearing of jungle and forest areas using fire has increased the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. And with the increase in temperature, some CO2 trapped in oceans and ice will be freed to the atmosphere, further increasing the temperature, that will free more CO2 to the atmosphere and thus the vicious cycle of gloabl warming.

I hope that answers your question?
      Best wishes,
      Jacquie
