      This is a very interesting question. By the word ‘coil’ I’m guessing you mean ‘fold’. To answer your question, the number of folds in a brain varies. First and foremost we now know that the reason for the ‘folds’ we see in the brain is to increase its surface area. It has been suggested that more complex intelligent brains have more folds than simple ones, so a human has more brain folds than a dog for instance.
